First performance: 15 February 2012.
Director: Gábor Boka Choreographers: Norbert Busai and Zsuzsanna Busai

The Devil is there ... with different names in almost all religions, in the hereditary beliefs of peoples as the embodiment of Evil. In this way, he is also present in the beliefs of the Hungarians and is a frequent character in our folk tales, but somehow he always gets us into trouble. The clever peasant (or peasant woman) outwits his wits and makes him the object of ridicule.

The Devil is not uncommon in our geographical names either. Every region has a Devil's stream, Devil's ditch, Devil's bog or something similar, and in the Mediterranean there is Devil's grass.

The thoughts of the essay "Lélekjárás" (Soul Walk) by Sándor Takács are the basis of the new programme of the Harghita Ensemble. The original legend and its variations try to explain the origin of the name of the village of Ördöngösfüzes. The intention of the dance play is not to decipher the etymological origin, but to present a tale for all ages, primarily in the language of dance.

During the performance, the audience will see dances from the északmezőségi, Kalotaszeg, Gyimes and Szatmár, embedded in an entertaining story.
